Before I get to the linkage, though, let me wish a happy belated birthday to all the August babies! I 've been extremely flakey re:bday cards this year /o\ If you are inclined to make me feel less guilty about forgetting your birthday, you could leave me a prompt and I'll draw you a quick doodle :)

Okay, on to the linkage.

Lately I've been dipping my toes into all kinds of new fandoms and while I love the rush of reading all the back cathalogs, the fact remains that there's little to no long fics :( The good news, though, is that someone, somewhere, had a stroke of genius and opened smallfandombang :D This is your chance to write me all the longish fics in all the tiny fandoms :D Go forth and check smallfandombang out!

Speaking of small fandoms, South Park has eaten my brain and now I want to read Stan/Kyle 24/7. If you, like me, can't dedicate that much time to that most happy task, be sure to read at least these two gems:

The lovely saba1789, who is a well of awesome fandom (and non-fandom) related ideas, came up with this neat project, The Postcard Challenge. I'm sure I'm not the only one here who is kind of a lot in love with receiving cards in the mail, so why not join the party and get some glee from across the sea into your mailboxes?


In other news, Panic! continues to bring all the fuzzy sparkly feelings to my heart, William Beckett is hell bent on making me love him, and I want every single outfit featured in this video omg!.

(no really, what is this "not available in your region" crap? >:|) I also love Bden faces in this video! Anyway, today Panic! is playing in London and due to stupid rl I couldn't be there ç___ç Lucky me, I have a raffie79 who took a plane this morning and is going to be at the show and also at the M&G (so if any of you see an Italian girl at the show? That's Raffie! Hug her for me :D) and is going to take many pretty pictures \o/ To celebrate, ( let's have a silly doodle! )

Ion that surprise no one:
- I went to the flea market on Sunday and bought two tiny figurines; one is a toucan and the other should be a skunk (♥) but it has fox-ears and a terrier-face so maybe it is a mutant skunk, idk.
- Danny and Steve are so married I can't even *___*
- I want this steampunk pen sfm.
- Sloths are awesome and everyone should love them.
- I am working on 4 drawings at the same time. Talk about ADD.
- I am using masking fluid. What you should use it for: to mask the parts of the drawing you don't want your watercolours/inks/ecolines to cover. What you should do with it: paint it on the back of your hands and wait for it to dry so you can peel it off as if it was skin. Since masking fluid can be pretty expensive, I suggest you use white glue :D Have fun lovelies!

*hasn't stopped laughing since this afternoon*

A-hem... So, I've been kinda busy with uni these past two weeks, but since most of my courses ended last Friday, I should be somewhat more active in the future :D (too bad one of those courses was children lit. :[).
Oh. Interesting fact: I found out that History makes me emotional. At first I thought it was only when the prof talked about the Constitution, but then we moved on and started discussing about colonialism and imperialism and the ideology behind them and their consequences and I teared up anyway. I thought I had mastered the I-won't-let-reality-touch-me attitude back in highschool. Apparently, not so much.

On a happier note, I'm starting to get an idea of what I want to do for my thesis \o/ I talked about it with my parents (mum:"Cool! And you could tie that up with this other thing! And also this other one! :DDD"; dad:"Uh. Uh. Here, LET ME GIVE YOU SOME TONS OF MATERIAL YOU CAN WORK WITH!" *drowns me under a pile of meterial*. &them;) and with a friend of ours who is also a professor (her face: :DDD), so I'm kind of not stressed about it as much I thought I would be.

We spent this past weekend helping one of my aunt move. Actually, she moved to the apartament above the one she had been living in till last Sunday (which also happened to be my grandparents' second house. So we had to empty that one first and then bring my aunt's stuff in. It was a sad affair because half of the things there were my grandma's). She lives in Rocca di Papa, a pretty nice place ( as you can see :) )

Anyway. My plans for next week are: catching up with Merlin (I'm so terribly behind D:), tidy up my curtainfic prompt and send it over (because you can never send things too early!), draw something to bribe devilswhore_x with (you have received my email, right?) and come up with something other than housemaid!Brendon/count!Spencer because of course that is not a valid pairing for the Girl Challenge over at rarebandom (do suggest, flist!), buy more yarn, knit more hats, stop listening to Norah Jones on loop (yes, that's a link to dl her latest album), study (ahahahah), tick off some of the things on my to-draw list that keeps getting longer...

1. Mika's new album, "The Boy Who Knew Too Much". I like it even better than his first one. "Blue Eyes" is delightful, "By The Time" has a Imogen Heap feeling to me and that makes me very happy. The way he mixes sad lyrics with upbeat/cheery/sweet music... Really, click on that link up there and take a copy and, if you like it, go buy the CD when it'll come out (Wikipedia tells me on the 18th in Italy, on the 21st in the rest of the world). I know I will :)

2. This essay on drawing by spoonbard over at DeviantArt. Go read it NOW! Go read it even if you think you're not an artist :)

3. "Two Musicians in Search of a Song", posted at popoffacork. It is pure bliss.
And "Genetic Profile" by arsenicjade (thanks to _princess_han_ for the rec ♥). It's a Bandom/CriminalMinds crossover wherein Ryan is Reid's cousin. The way arsenicjade managed to keep the various characters true and still mix two fandoms that have nothing to do with each other is amazing. Read it!

4. Forget Zorbing. I want to do BASE JUMPING WEARING A WINGSUIT! Who's with me? :D?

So... that "happy meme" thing.
It's EasterZombie Jesus Day and obviously it should make me happy because: holiday. Right? WRONG! I was brought up Christian, but I'm not a believer. That means that all that "Let's celebrate, Jesus is fine and dandy again" doesn't affect my mood in any way.
The point is that today there was supposed to be the first race of the MotoGP Championship. I know that you, flist, probably don't give a flying pan about this (maybe deep_lost has fond memories of it? I know she follows F1 now), but I'm a huge fan. I've been since before I looked at boys as something other than playmates of the football variety. And it would have been an amazing race because it was a night time race! Do you know how exciting night time races are? A lot! An awesome lot! Here, this is how Losail Circuit looks at night. It was going to be epic! BUT. But. IT FREAKING STARTED TO FU****G RAIN! How the actual f*** can it rain buckets in the middle of bumfuck, Qatar?!
Anyway, since it (literally) rained on the parade, I went to look at lolcats and then videos to cheer myself up.
