Last week I joined [livejournal.com profile] pic_exchange and never got aroud to actually post any picture. I'm doing it now, tho :D

What else.... Oh! I tattooed two little initials on my best friend and her boyfriend's ring fingers. We chose to try doing them in white ink, so they wouldn't be too showy (even if they are under their rings). She told me it hurt more than the one I did behind her ear, but less than the one we did on her side. They are happy and I'm practically giddy for them :D

Also, she brought me a pair of canvas white flats to colour. We decided to do them "Dr. Slump" style :D I think I'm going to have a lot of fun with them.

Also, [livejournal.com profile] of_silverandsky and I decided to tweet l i k e t h i s t o d a y f u l l s t o p c a p i t o l w e t h i n k t h i s i s h o w c a p i t a l r y r o t h i n k s c o l o n n o c a p i t a l s o r a c t u a l p u n c t u a t i o n c o m m a j u s t l e t t e r s f u l l s t o p c a p i t o l t h i s i s h o w h e a c h i v e s t h e m o n o t o n e e x c l a m a t i o n p o i n t c a p s l o c k x d.
Right?

p.s. William the laptop is starting to act up again /o\ he won't let me upload pictures on photobucket or imageshack. Also, he keeps fucking up the html. I asked dad if he knew what could be the problem. He looked at me and said "You are aware that your laptop is almost 7 years old, right?" and I was like "No, I've had it for 4 years!" to which he answered with "You do remember that it was a second hand laptop, right?". Poor William is getting old D:

As some of you may know, I usually post my not-too-faily art on my DeviantArt page.
Ever since I set up camp there (and even before, when I was still a lurker) DeviantArtists proved themselves very nice people, always ready to encourage other artists and giving them advices.
I've learned a lot from this community.
Today, I stubled over this post and thought that, finally, I could give something back.

I'm going to send this little bear
mikka's bear

I wanted to share this with you all because it looked like a nice project and since I firmly believe that everyone is a little artist, I thought that you could participate, too.

So? What are you waiting for? Go grab your art supplies and draw a little bear for Mikka :)

Hi.
As you may have heard, there's been an earthquake near here.

L'Aquila is roughly 90 Km far from Rome, so we felt it pretty well )

Anyway, my family and friends are all well.

To change topic, some news )

How was your weekend?

First and foremost, I'd like to thank the guy who saved my friend P from being trampled by the moshers. She is small and it was her first concert ever so she didn't know how to react to the moving mass of bodies and she could have been seriously injured. I don't know who you are and you probably won't read this post, but I'd like to say this anyway : thank you so much. She was scared and you took her out of the mosh pit and lifted her up on your shoulders to let her breathe. You are the kind of person that makes me keep wanting to go see shows and be in the main area instead of the sidelines. Thank you.

A little "thank you" goes to the girl who was attached to the barrier in front of me, too. You may be not happy with your squishiness, but it saved my ribs from being snapped, so thank you.

That said, this has been one hell of a trip :D
the day before )
The Day of the Show )

Support Band from Italy: Hey Hey Radio! )
Hey Hey Radio! left the stage and 15 minutes later The Sounds came out

The Sounds )

We waited a bit longer for FOB, but it's not like we could get bored ;)

OMG FOB! )

So, BEST SHOW EVER, YES?

After the show was over we went back to the merch booth (we hopped there when we got in and bought a couple of things in a rush) to see if there was something else we wanted to buy.
If you're interested in the merch stuff, click here )

We also managed to get Hey Hey Radio's cd. Their merch table was near the FOB one and we saw them packing their things away so we run there and asked them to sign us their cd. They were really nice and gave us some pins for free, too :)

And thus end the recap!

[livejournal.com profile] milenaa, you are awesome!
I usually boycott it but you made me want to reinvent it :). Thank you so so so so much!

I was out all day yesterday because one of my friends was getting her degree so we went to listen to her discussion. She was so nervous! But she did great and her supervisor made a really nice introduction before she started. We were all so proud of her :D
We celebrated a bit just outside the auditorium and then our tight-knit group of 6 went to eat sushi at a restaurant near campus (we go there a lot. It has these neat little trays with sushi and makis of different kinds and it's not too expensive. Also, sushi is delicious). It was a really nice night-out and we ended up laughing a lot about the professors and things that happened and the fact that the laurel crown my friend's mum bought for her was too large and kept slipping down and turning in a laurel necklace :D
Since sushi wasn't enough, we then went to a coffee shop famous for its Tiramisu and ate that, too. After that we went back to the car (and it was like playing human tetris because a Polo is not meant for 6 people) and we found out that there was a bottle of sparkling wine left from before and we merrily chugged it.... needless to say we were all a bit tipsy :).
I had so much fun :D

And then I came home and my mum had left my jammies on the table (I share the bedroom with my sister and I'm a klutz, so putting on pjs in the dark is a nightmare) and on top of them there was a LETTER FROM [livejournal.com profile] milenaa WITH A MINI-TOTEBAG AND I LOVE HER SO MUCH REALLY! The day couldn't have ended better!!! *sends lots of kisses and hugs and baby seals*

PS for Milly: I had some time to kill yesterday at the station and I ended up at a coffee shop with a pen and a blank notebook that is not blank anymore. I guess you'll find an email for you in the near future with a lots of fail in it.

Stolen from [livejournal.com profile] of_silverandsky

1. Leave me a comment saying, "Interview me!"
2. I will respond by asking you five questions. I get to pick the questions.
3. You will post the answers to the questions (and the questions themselves) on your blog or journal.
4. You will include this explanation and an offer to interview someone else in the same post.
5. When others comment asking to be interviewed, you will ask them five questions. And thus the endless cycle of the meme goes on and on and on and on...

1) What's your biggest pet peeves?

Ignorant people who try to cover their ignorance using big words. That's something I really can't stand.

2) How do you like to spend your weekend if you're home alone?
I either spend it alone, drawing and painting with the music loud enough to cover the phone ringing, or invite my friends over for a two-days movie-marathon.

3) Who's your first celebrity crush? :D
Oh my god... Taylor Hanson. Don't look at me like that! I was 12, ok?

4) What do you plan to do 10 years from now?
I'm planning on being somewhere that is not here. I'd really like to move abroad. Italy started to feel too small when I was still in high school, and I've reached the point where I need to get out of here for small periods of time to be able to "breathe". That's why I travel often and so randomly. So yeah... ten years from now I plan to be on the road.

5) How do you define a friendship?
Tough question. I'm a friendly person, I always was, even if I'm pretty shy, but the people I consider friends are not many. That's probably my fault because what I look for in a friend is their ability to make a connection with me that will bring benefits (I use this word in a figurative way) to both parts. A friend is someone that is both teacher and student, someone that makes your life happier, fuller, richer. It's someone that can make you smile or even laugh when you're alone and cry with no shame when you're not because a friend allows you to be you every moment.
That's not to say that when you become friends with someone you'll be able to be that kind of person for each other right away. For example, I have known my best friend since we were 3 (we attended the same schools until we started high school) and I can say now that she is one of the people in my life that I'd miss even if I hadn't ever met her. We grew up together, we went through some shit together, we didn't spoke for a month and then we forgot why we started the silent treatment, we stayed up till 2 in the morning when we were 10 to play SuperMarioBros and then fell asleep during service in church the next morning (well, she did. I couldn't since I was an altar girl...), we cried/laughed/sang/danced/dressed up/skipped school/mooned over boys together, we did stupid things and we fought to the point of slapping each other. We said things to each other with the specific intent of hurting the other, because if you feel like shit, then she should too (teen angst was a riot). We said things to each other that hurt us to voice aloud but needed to be said anyway, because we are friends and that means that you have the responsibility to be blunt even if the last thing we wanted to do was to cause pain to the other. It wasn't always easy, but we learned and taught at the same time and it's something I'll be forever grateful to her (and to the other people who were and are friends) for, because without her (and them), I wouldn't know now how much a friend can mean, and I couldn't be me every moment.

Uh... sorry for that, I didn't mean to ramble that much. I won't be offended if you skipped it.

So... Who wants me to ask them questions?:)
