A while ago I was waiting for a train (and I knew exactly where it would take me :/) and to pass the time I decided to bother my tlist with a silly idea for a train station romance. Darling sarahyyy grabbed that prompt and run with it and wrote the most charming story <333 I have such a love for epistolary fics, you don't even know, and this one is just so darn brilliant!

What you need to know right away is that THEY WERE FREAKING AWESOME! This was the second time for me seeing them live and I can't tell you how amazing they were on stage :D Their energy sure was infectious and the whole experience was a complete blast *is still bouncing around*

Anyway, you all know how crappy I am at telling stories so let me pull up the pictures I took and hopefully this recap won't be a complete mess. :D?

A-hem... Camping you guys! It is as awesome as I remembered! Tents! Air mattresses that take forever to blow up! Little kids running all over your camp spot! Ants crawling in your sugar bowl! Air mattresses that misteriously deflate during the night! Tent-neighbours that snores like angry hippoes! IT WAS SO MUCH FUN! (I promise, I'm not crazy! I just really like to collect deliriously funny memories for when I'm old :))

Anyway, apart from the snoring our tent neighbours were pretty cool! They where all families with little kids and it was a joyful affair! There was this 4 years old girl, Diana, who always came to say "Goodmorning :)" when we came out to have breakfast and tell us about her friends and how much she likes Hello Kitty and that she wants to be an indian when she grows up (she used to tie a shoelace around her head and went around curing "injuries" with a piece of bark. The hearteyes, you guys!) and then there was Marci, who was 2 and a half, who smiled at us a lot but as soon as you smiled back he hid his face behind chairs and plants and once behind Diana. And then there was Leon, who was six, whose favourite movie is Avatar (he asked Diana for the other shoelace, tied it around his head leaving an end longer than the other and said that that one was his hair/tail/tendril) and whose favourite superhero is Astro Boy (guyyyyys! ♥). Anyway, much fun was had and so I am super happy about this trip!

3. paperclipbitch started the prequel/sequel/companion story to ‘Cause You’ve Got An Awfully Long Way To Go from Puck's POV. This makes me happy for a lot of reasons but most of all because I love reading stories told from the other side and I can never find any and thus I am most pleased right now.

4. I'm toying with the idea of changing my lj username because rl people are nosy and I'm kind of paranoid. Making this lj semi-friends only helped a bit but a name change would put me at ease even more.

A-hem... So, I've been kinda busy with uni these past two weeks, but since most of my courses ended last Friday, I should be somewhat more active in the future :D (too bad one of those courses was children lit. :[).
Oh. Interesting fact: I found out that History makes me emotional. At first I thought it was only when the prof talked about the Constitution, but then we moved on and started discussing about colonialism and imperialism and the ideology behind them and their consequences and I teared up anyway. I thought I had mastered the I-won't-let-reality-touch-me attitude back in highschool. Apparently, not so much.

On a happier note, I'm starting to get an idea of what I want to do for my thesis \o/ I talked about it with my parents (mum:"Cool! And you could tie that up with this other thing! And also this other one! :DDD"; dad:"Uh. Uh. Here, LET ME GIVE YOU SOME TONS OF MATERIAL YOU CAN WORK WITH!" *drowns me under a pile of meterial*. &them;) and with a friend of ours who is also a professor (her face: :DDD), so I'm kind of not stressed about it as much I thought I would be.

We spent this past weekend helping one of my aunt move. Actually, she moved to the apartament above the one she had been living in till last Sunday (which also happened to be my grandparents' second house. So we had to empty that one first and then bring my aunt's stuff in. It was a sad affair because half of the things there were my grandma's). She lives in Rocca di Papa, a pretty nice place ( as you can see :) )

Anyway. My plans for next week are: catching up with Merlin (I'm so terribly behind D:), tidy up my curtainfic prompt and send it over (because you can never send things too early!), draw something to bribe devilswhore_x with (you have received my email, right?) and come up with something other than housemaid!Brendon/count!Spencer because of course that is not a valid pairing for the Girl Challenge over at rarebandom (do suggest, flist!), buy more yarn, knit more hats, stop listening to Norah Jones on loop (yes, that's a link to dl her latest album), study (ahahahah), tick off some of the things on my to-draw list that keeps getting longer...

What else.... Oh! I tattooed two little initials on my best friend and her boyfriend's ring fingers. We chose to try doing them in white ink, so they wouldn't be too showy (even if they are under their rings). She told me it hurt more than the one I did behind her ear, but less than the one we did on her side. They are happy and I'm practically giddy for them :D

Also, she brought me a pair of canvas white flats to colour. We decided to do them "Dr. Slump" style :D I think I'm going to have a lot of fun with them.

p.s. William the laptop is starting to act up again /o\ he won't let me upload pictures on photobucket or imageshack. Also, he keeps fucking up the html. I asked dad if he knew what could be the problem. He looked at me and said "You are aware that your laptop is almost 7 years old, right?" and I was like "No, I've had it for 4 years!" to which he answered with "You do remember that it was a second hand laptop, right?". Poor William is getting old D:

deep_lost tagged everyone on her flist and, since I'm doing my best to become one with the sofa, I came to the realisation that there isn't a better way to spend my night than to tell you about my ( Top 5 Crushes )

First and foremost, I'd like to thank the guy who saved my friend P from being trampled by the moshers. She is small and it was her first concert ever so she didn't know how to react to the moving mass of bodies and she could have been seriously injured. I don't know who you are and you probably won't read this post, but I'd like to say this anyway : thank you so much. She was scared and you took her out of the mosh pit and lifted her up on your shoulders to let her breathe. You are the kind of person that makes me keep wanting to go see shows and be in the main area instead of the sidelines. Thank you.

A little "thank you" goes to the girl who was attached to the barrier in front of me, too. You may be not happy with your squishiness, but it saved my ribs from being snapped, so thank you.

That said, this has been one hell of a trip :D

After the show was over we went back to the merch booth (we hopped there when we got in and bought a couple of things in a rush) to see if there was something else we wanted to buy.

We also managed to get Hey Hey Radio's cd. Their merch table was near the FOB one and we saw them packing their things away so we run there and asked them to sign us their cd. They were really nice and gave us some pins for free, too :)
