Hello lovelies! I'm currently camped out on my comfy armchair and enjoying the winter wonderland that landed outside last night :)

Ain't it pretty? )

And speaking of cool things, here's a handful of recs for you!

Hello, I Love You (Won't You Tell Me Your Name?) by [livejournal.com profile] sarahyyy
In which Arthur falls in love with the stranger from the cafe outside the train station and they talk. Via messages. On his window.
A while ago I was waiting for a train (and I knew exactly where it would take me :/) and to pass the time I decided to bother my tlist with a silly idea for a train station romance. Darling [livejournal.com profile] sarahyyy grabbed that prompt and run with it and wrote the most charming story <333 I have such a love for epistolary fics, you don't even know, and this one is just so darn brilliant!

• Bandom people who are also dWellers! Come to [community profile] bandom_meme and join the fun! Round 1 is already up! :D

Princess Zelda by Haawan is the prettiest Custom MLP everrr! Be sure to check out her gallery for more custom ponies (so pretty omg)!

And now that you're all distracted by the beautiful art up there, I can sneak in these doodles I did a few days ago and no one will notice >:)

*peeks in* Hello flist :)

I remember a time when I thought RL was just a myth D: I liked it better when I had time to do stuff other than working and stress over stupid RL stuff that I don't have to stress over :( In addition I feel like such a shitty flister, what with never leaving comments and forgetting to reply to emails /o\ I keep promising to do better but it looks to me like I'm failing to do so on every front. Why am I so faily? Ugh :(

Anyway, setting apart my faily self, there's this community you might want to check out: [livejournal.com profile] helpsomalia! I know there where people on my flist a couple of months ago who wanted to know if someone was going to set up a fandom auction to help fight the famine in the Horn of Africa. I'm not sure if I was just extremely distracted and completely missed the pimping of the comm or if it just flew under the radar but whatever, the offering posts are all still open so hop over there and take a look around? If you are interested, my thread is here.

And now a doodle! The lovely [livejournal.com profile] katie_andrew asked for a birthday doodle and prompted me with "Boys in Autumn" :)

nothing says Autumn like skipping on fallen leaves )

Also also, a meme from my dear [livejournal.com profile] toodelicious :D

Comment to this entry and I'll give you a letter. List ten things, people, places, beings, thoughts, feelings, that you love that begin with that letter
and then post that list on your journal.

She gave me the letter R :D )

Hello and welcome to another crappy recap from yours truly \o/

What you need to know right away is that THEY WERE FREAKING AWESOME! This was the second time for me seeing them live and I can't tell you how amazing they were on stage :D Their energy sure was infectious and the whole experience was a complete blast *is still bouncing around*

Anyway, you all know how crappy I am at telling stories so let me pull up the pictures I took and hopefully this recap won't be a complete mess. :D?

Piccoli passi che faccio con te. Seguo il tuo cuore, e seguo la luna. )

Dear Flist, I know I've been failing hard at keeping up with lj but I promise, promise, promise I'll try to be better! I swear it! *opens all the tabs* but, uh, before I go on a comment spree let me give you the greatest news of the week!

I HAS A KITTEN! :DDD He's a black European with greenish eyes and I'm pretty sure he's only parading as a cat, he must be a dog at heart. There's no way he'd want to cuddle this much otherwise.
Anyway, people on twitter asked for pictures of the little furball and so you get a mini picspam :)
But! Before we get to the tiny purring ball currently napping on my lap, please head over to [livejournal.com profile] mayqueen517's journal, read this and consider giving her a hand :)

And now, on to the pictures \o/ )
aredblush: (owl city - blogging)
Hello my dearests! here are the pictures from the picture meme I did a few days ago :D (if you missed it, just ask for whatever you want to see here and I'll post the picture in reply to your comment, okay?)

Image heavy! )

And that is all.
aredblush: (P!atD - Brendon - light)
Are you ready for another lousy recap? I think this one will be lousiest of all! All my reactions can be summed up like this: YOU GUYS! GUUUUUUYYYYYSSSSS! ;____________; I can't even!

Long story short of how K and I got to Bologna: the train was supposed to leave at 10:30, but a carriage broke down and so we left at 11:30. We spent the trip indulging a lady who asked too many questions and then jinxed us by saying "Well, here's hoping this day will end better than the way it started". Damn you, train lady! Damnn you! We ended up catching the wrong bus and then had to do a complete turn-around and once we arrived at the arena, all the spot in the shades were all taken already. Ah, well. At least we got some tan...

Anyway, faily recap! This time the failiness is brought to you by the fact that I don't know the name of a single member of Simple Plan nor Sum 41. Ain't I cool?

It's more of a colour picspam than an actual recap )

Best ever or best ever? I am still starry-eyed *___*
aredblush: (disney - up)
*tackleglomps the flist* You guys! I missed you muchly! *squeezes you all*

A-hem... Camping you guys! It is as awesome as I remembered! Tents! Air mattresses that take forever to blow up! Little kids running all over your camp spot! Ants crawling in your sugar bowl! Air mattresses that misteriously deflate during the night! Tent-neighbours that snores like angry hippoes! IT WAS SO MUCH FUN! (I promise, I'm not crazy! I just really like to collect deliriously funny memories for when I'm old :))

Anyway, apart from the snoring our tent neighbours were pretty cool! They where all families with little kids and it was a joyful affair! There was this 4 years old girl, Diana, who always came to say "Goodmorning :)" when we came out to have breakfast and tell us about her friends and how much she likes Hello Kitty and that she wants to be an indian when she grows up (she used to tie a shoelace around her head and went around curing "injuries" with a piece of bark. The hearteyes, you guys!) and then there was Marci, who was 2 and a half, who smiled at us a lot but as soon as you smiled back he hid his face behind chairs and plants and once behind Diana. And then there was Leon, who was six, whose favourite movie is Avatar (he asked Diana for the other shoelace, tied it around his head leaving an end longer than the other and said that that one was his hair/tail/tendril) and whose favourite superhero is Astro Boy (guyyyyys! ♥). Anyway, much fun was had and so I am super happy about this trip!

And now, the moment you've all been waiting for! PICTURE TIME!!!

lots of pictures here! )

Now, rec me all the things I missed this past week!
aredblush: (P!atD - Brendon - light)
You guys I have no words except BEST CONCERT EVER OMG!
Why is Mika not included in bandom? I want people to squee and flail with over his little faaace ♥

Anyway, bucketload of pics under the cut! Woo \o/

We Are Not What You Think We Are )

A list

May. 31st, 2010 09:24 pm
aredblush: (owl city - blogging)
1. Taylor Hanson can rock a 'stache better than anyone ever.

2. BBB is just a week away and I am beyond excited :D

3. [livejournal.com profile] paperclipbitch started the prequel/sequel/companion story to ‘Cause You’ve Got An Awfully Long Way To Go from Puck's POV. This makes me happy for a lot of reasons but most of all because I love reading stories told from the other side and I can never find any and thus I am most pleased right now.

4. I'm toying with the idea of changing my lj username because rl people are nosy and I'm kind of paranoid. Making this lj semi-friends only helped a bit but a name change would put me at ease even more.

5. I love street art, especially the informative kind
YOU ARE HERE )

6. I have no glee icons. This is unacceptable.
aredblush: (owl city - silent ballet)
Also known as Smunchkin's first concert! I took me just 5 years to convince her to come to a live show with me.... She was quite nervous while we were waiting in line and she made me promise we would stay in the back, far from the crowd and absolutely not anywhere near the stage (in her defence, everytime I've come back home from a concert in the past I sperted bruises, burn marks and, once, a cracked rib). We were pretty lucky because this venue has an elevated rise at the back so we claimed a spot on the side near the merch booth and we could see the stage pretty well and Smunchkin was safe from the crushing crowd :)

First up was Matthew P

You can bite your lip, it won't make you tough )

Next up was A Fine Frenzy

If we were children I would bake you a mud pie )

And, finally, Owl City took the stage

I'll spread my wings and fly )

And thus another one of my faily recaps comes to an end :)

Let's start with a laugh, yes?

*hasn't stopped laughing since this afternoon*

A-hem... So, I've been kinda busy with uni these past two weeks, but since most of my courses ended last Friday, I should be somewhat more active in the future :D (too bad one of those courses was children lit. :[).
Oh. Interesting fact: I found out that History makes me emotional. At first I thought it was only when the prof talked about the Constitution, but then we moved on and started discussing about colonialism and imperialism and the ideology behind them and their consequences and I teared up anyway. I thought I had mastered the I-won't-let-reality-touch-me attitude back in highschool. Apparently, not so much.

On a happier note, I'm starting to get an idea of what I want to do for my thesis \o/ I talked about it with my parents (mum:"Cool! And you could tie that up with this other thing! And also this other one! :DDD"; dad:"Uh. Uh. Here, LET ME GIVE YOU SOME TONS OF MATERIAL YOU CAN WORK WITH!" *drowns me under a pile of meterial*. &them;) and with a friend of ours who is also a professor (her face: :DDD), so I'm kind of not stressed about it as much I thought I would be.

Hey, you want to laugh some more? I found a couple of picture of Lara and I goofing with this year carved pumpkin :D
Our heads are hollow... )

We spent this past weekend helping one of my aunt move. Actually, she moved to the apartament above the one she had been living in till last Sunday (which also happened to be my grandparents' second house. So we had to empty that one first and then bring my aunt's stuff in. It was a sad affair because half of the things there were my grandma's). She lives in Rocca di Papa, a pretty nice place as you can see :) )

Anyway. My plans for next week are: catching up with Merlin (I'm so terribly behind D:), tidy up my [livejournal.com profile] curtainfic prompt and send it over (because you can never send things too early!), draw something to bribe [livejournal.com profile] devilswhore_x with (you have received my email, right?) and come up with something other than housemaid!Brendon/count!Spencer because of course that is not a valid pairing for the Girl Challenge over at [livejournal.com profile] rarebandom (do suggest, flist!), buy more yarn, knit more hats, stop listening to Norah Jones on loop (yes, that's a link to dl her latest album), study (ahahahah), tick off some of the things on my to-draw list that keeps getting longer...

In conclusion

I am in love :)

First and foremost
HAPPY BIRTHDAY [livejournal.com profile] enaranie!!!
I hope you'll have a wonderful day of partying and presents and cake in cups :D

This week theme over at [livejournal.com profile] pic_exchange is

Show us a picture of a favorite place you've traveled to. ).

Mark Hoppus keeps cheering me up with his tweets

Optimism and excitement are making their way into my little broken heart again. I'm cautiously hopeful.

ps: OMG! I should really get started on my [livejournal.com profile] boxofmagic assignment, but it's too hot to do anything but laze in front of the fan.
aredblush: (Default)
Last week I joined [livejournal.com profile] pic_exchange and never got aroud to actually post any picture. I'm doing it now, tho :D

This week theme is
Show us your favorite building in your town.

Not really a building, but it is my favourite )

Meme time! (stolen from the flist)

1. Have your music library ready.
2. Choose one (1) song from your music library whose title starts with the first letter (or number) of your screen name.
3. Repeat this process with each successive letter (or number) in your screen name until you run out of letters (or numbers).
4. Post up your results.
5. BONUS POINTS: Upload your mix (whether it's individual songs or a .zip of all the songs) and include the mix in your post.
the nasssty_slyth music mix )

What else.... Oh! I tattooed two little initials on my best friend and her boyfriend's ring fingers. We chose to try doing them in white ink, so they wouldn't be too showy (even if they are under their rings). She told me it hurt more than the one I did behind her ear, but less than the one we did on her side. They are happy and I'm practically giddy for them :D

Also, she brought me a pair of canvas white flats to colour. We decided to do them "Dr. Slump" style :D I think I'm going to have a lot of fun with them.

Also, [livejournal.com profile] of_silverandsky and I decided to tweet l i k e t h i s t o d a y f u l l s t o p c a p i t o l w e t h i n k t h i s i s h o w c a p i t a l r y r o t h i n k s c o l o n n o c a p i t a l s o r a c t u a l p u n c t u a t i o n c o m m a j u s t l e t t e r s f u l l s t o p c a p i t o l t h i s i s h o w h e a c h i v e s t h e m o n o t o n e e x c l a m a t i o n p o i n t c a p s l o c k x d.
Right?

p.s. William the laptop is starting to act up again /o\ he won't let me upload pictures on photobucket or imageshack. Also, he keeps fucking up the html. I asked dad if he knew what could be the problem. He looked at me and said "You are aware that your laptop is almost 7 years old, right?" and I was like "No, I've had it for 4 years!" to which he answered with "You do remember that it was a second hand laptop, right?". Poor William is getting old D:

You can find them here at PATD Online, or you can go flail here at [livejournal.com profile] failboatsinlove or even here at [livejournal.com profile] daily_brendon!!!!

On another note, I went shopping with my sister and I bought loads of things because I have no restraints when it comes to Disney and books and flowery dresses \o/
aredblush: (if it ain't my skillz)
[livejournal.com profile] deep_lost tagged everyone on her flist and, since I'm doing my best to become one with the sofa, I came to the realisation that there isn't a better way to spend my night than to tell you about my Top 5 Crushes )
aredblush: (Default)
1) Comment to this and I will give you 3 people.
2) Post this meme with your answers.
3) Provide pictures and the names of 3 people.
4) Label which you would marry, shag, and throw off a cliff.

[livejournal.com profile] of_silverandsky gave me Jwalk, Bden and Mickeyway
On to the pretty pics )

First and foremost, I'd like to thank the guy who saved my friend P from being trampled by the moshers. She is small and it was her first concert ever so she didn't know how to react to the moving mass of bodies and she could have been seriously injured. I don't know who you are and you probably won't read this post, but I'd like to say this anyway : thank you so much. She was scared and you took her out of the mosh pit and lifted her up on your shoulders to let her breathe. You are the kind of person that makes me keep wanting to go see shows and be in the main area instead of the sidelines. Thank you.

A little "thank you" goes to the girl who was attached to the barrier in front of me, too. You may be not happy with your squishiness, but it saved my ribs from being snapped, so thank you.

That said, this has been one hell of a trip :D
the day before )
The Day of the Show )

Support Band from Italy: Hey Hey Radio! )
Hey Hey Radio! left the stage and 15 minutes later The Sounds came out

The Sounds )

We waited a bit longer for FOB, but it's not like we could get bored ;)

OMG FOB! )

So, BEST SHOW EVER, YES?

After the show was over we went back to the merch booth (we hopped there when we got in and bought a couple of things in a rush) to see if there was something else we wanted to buy.
If you're interested in the merch stuff, click here )

We also managed to get Hey Hey Radio's cd. Their merch table was near the FOB one and we saw them packing their things away so we run there and asked them to sign us their cd. They were really nice and gave us some pins for free, too :)

And thus end the recap!
