Owl City @ Shepherd's Bush Empire (image heavy)
Also known as Smunchkin's first concert! I took me just 5 years to convince her to come to a live show with me.... She was quite nervous while we were waiting in line and she made me promise we would stay in the back, far from the crowd and absolutely not anywhere near the stage (in her defence, everytime I've come back home from a concert in the past I sperted bruises, burn marks and, once, a cracked rib). We were pretty lucky because this venue has an elevated rise at the back so we claimed a spot on the side near the merch booth and we could see the stage pretty well and Smunchkin was safe from the crushing crowd :)
First up was Matthew P

He's quite the charming lad :)

He sang his whole EP and then he covered "Foundations" (of which I made a video that turned out crappy, so I'll spare you)

Next up was A Fine Frenzy

This girl is a human typhon. Taking pictures of her performing and not getting just a blur of spinning red is next to impossible...

...unless she's playing the piano...

...which makes it easier...

... to capture her adorableness on film :)

She has a very powerful voice. I have her albums, so I knew she could sing pretty well, but the recorded stuff doesn't catch the strenght behind it at all. I utterly blown away :)

I'm pretty sure she was the happiest person in the house (also, she had tea as refreshment)
And, finally, Owl City took the stage

The band came out one by one. Drummer first!

then the violinist and the cellist (who also had little dance routines! Cutest!)

Percussionist! Which later played guitar, swapped places with the drummer at one point, and was generally awesome

Keboardist/backup voice! She smiled all the time!

See that blob of light in the centre? That's Adam!

He's so adorable

and funny

and talented

he kept a steady banter with the audience and also wished his mum a happy mother's day. ADORABLE!

I may have forgotten to mention that Adam is also a pretty boy

his way of playing guitar is entartaining to watch

(I feel compelled to mention that at this point Smuchkin was jumping on her feet and screaming "Fuck being in the back next time we are going barrier holy sheep :DDD")

And thus another one of my faily recaps comes to an end :)

THEY WERE ALL SO PRETTY :D AND ADORABLE! AND TALENTED! (if you want their albums just say the word!)
I love my camera so much ♥ It's just a tiny point-and-shoot, but if I tweak the settings a bit it works magic :D

Albums! Her first is One Cell in the Sea (http://www.mediafire.com/?0mdxtzzmjyd) and her second (which came out last week) is Bomb in a Birdcage (http://www.mediafire.com/?gdnjj1yznzc).
I also really reccomend Matthew P's Swimming EP (http://www.mediafire.com/?wqw4othyxeg) because that boy really deserves more fans :)
