*tackleglomps the flist* You guys! I missed you muchly! *squeezes you all*

A-hem... Camping you guys! It is as awesome as I remembered! Tents! Air mattresses that take forever to blow up! Little kids running all over your camp spot! Ants crawling in your sugar bowl! Air mattresses that misteriously deflate during the night! Tent-neighbours that snores like angry hippoes! IT WAS SO MUCH FUN! (I promise, I'm not crazy! I just really like to collect deliriously funny memories for when I'm old :))

Anyway, apart from the snoring our tent neighbours were pretty cool! They where all families with little kids and it was a joyful affair! There was this 4 years old girl, Diana, who always came to say "Goodmorning :)" when we came out to have breakfast and tell us about her friends and how much she likes Hello Kitty and that she wants to be an indian when she grows up (she used to tie a shoelace around her head and went around curing "injuries" with a piece of bark. The hearteyes, you guys!) and then there was Marci, who was 2 and a half, who smiled at us a lot but as soon as you smiled back he hid his face behind chairs and plants and once behind Diana. And then there was Leon, who was six, whose favourite movie is Avatar (he asked Diana for the other shoelace, tied it around his head leaving an end longer than the other and said that that one was his hair/tail/tendril) and whose favourite superhero is Astro Boy (guyyyyys! ♥). Anyway, much fun was had and so I am super happy about this trip!

And now, the moment you've all been waiting for! PICTURE TIME!!!

lots of pictures here! )

Now, rec me all the things I missed this past week!

First and foremost, I'd like to thank the guy who saved my friend P from being trampled by the moshers. She is small and it was her first concert ever so she didn't know how to react to the moving mass of bodies and she could have been seriously injured. I don't know who you are and you probably won't read this post, but I'd like to say this anyway : thank you so much. She was scared and you took her out of the mosh pit and lifted her up on your shoulders to let her breathe. You are the kind of person that makes me keep wanting to go see shows and be in the main area instead of the sidelines. Thank you.

A little "thank you" goes to the girl who was attached to the barrier in front of me, too. You may be not happy with your squishiness, but it saved my ribs from being snapped, so thank you.

That said, this has been one hell of a trip :D
the day before )
The Day of the Show )

Support Band from Italy: Hey Hey Radio! )
Hey Hey Radio! left the stage and 15 minutes later The Sounds came out

The Sounds )

We waited a bit longer for FOB, but it's not like we could get bored ;)

OMG FOB! )

So, BEST SHOW EVER, YES?

After the show was over we went back to the merch booth (we hopped there when we got in and bought a couple of things in a rush) to see if there was something else we wanted to buy.
If you're interested in the merch stuff, click here )

We also managed to get Hey Hey Radio's cd. Their merch table was near the FOB one and we saw them packing their things away so we run there and asked them to sign us their cd. They were really nice and gave us some pins for free, too :)

And thus end the recap!

Busyday!!!

Remember that art challenge over at [livejournal.com profile] art_bingo? The one titled "It's a Small World"?
Bingo card Lesotho (small)

Yesterday I turned in my response for the prompts I was given. (The bigger version of that picture up there is here)
It was a really funny challenge. I got the Lesotho bingo card and boy, was it hard?
But I really like how it came out (also, I got to draw hands *twirls*) :)

Speaking of drawing.... OMG I GOT ASKED BY THREE PEOPLE TO TATTOO THEM!!!!*does three cartwheels*
One of them is my best friend, and I already did a tattoo on her, but the other two were quite a surprise! They are both people I went to elementary school with (o.O) and they contacted me one after the other. One is a bo-- GUY (he's not a kid anymore! We are all adults! How weird is that?) I played football with a lot, while the other is a girl kids teased a lot when we were younger. She's the one I'm more excited about because this will be her first tattoo (I'm kinda nervous :|).

Anyway, on to other things...

I'd like to thank [livejournal.com profile] unaccompanied_g again for the icons she made for me.
Thank you sweetie! They are fabulous! I love them to pieces!

Just to put something that is not all cheery/happy/exciting in this post, I'd like to make clear that I HATE WRITING AND I WANT TO GIVE UP, OK? but I won't because I'm going to beat this stupid thing into submission! It's a matter of principle!

Also, memetime!

Hello!
[livejournal.com profile] deep_lost is doing an ABCMusic thingie over at her lj and today she recced Vanilla Sky's cover of Umbrella. I was so excited to see Italian music mentioned by someone who's not Italian and we started talking about it and then she asked me to rec her some other artists from Italy.
So I went and put together a mix of Italian music for her. Since it came out ok (I think) I'm going to share it with you all, too :)

cover mix

Italians Do It Better (sometimes)

This is just me babbling about the tracks )

If you want any of them and don't want to download the whole folder, or you want more songs by one of those people up there, just ask and I'll upload them :)

Now, if you read all that you won't mind me lenghtening this post a little more to ask you for a favour, right? Right.
So, I'm going to the FOB date in Milan (YAY!!!) and they just announced that The Sounds will open the show. My problem is that I don't have the faintest idea what songs they're more likely to perform. I have a bunch of their stuff, but since I really like to sing along during shows, I'd like to know what songs I have to "rehearse". Any ideas?

HOLY SHIT MERLIN'S ON TV RIGHT NOW!!! WE GOT IT BEFORE THE U.S.!!!!!
MOTHERFUCKING FINALLY!!!

ETA: The dubbing is as awful as ever when it comes to late night series but.... MERLIN!!! How did we get so lucky? I still can't believe it! I get to watch MERLIN in my own language every Sunday in all its MERLIN-Y, Arthur-y, tomatoes-in-medieval-England-y GLORY!
Today must be the epitome of Awesome Mondays! :D
