hello hello! How have you been my lovelies? I have sort of fallen into the canyon of deep despair that is pre-finals month + RL being less that decent + me being more spazzy than usual. Whatever.

What I wanted to say is that today is Monday, but it's a very awsome one because it is chaotically_clev's birthday :D Here is the faily Hunger Games inspired birthday card I drew for her.
And speaking of Hunger Games (I hinaled the whole trilogy the past weekend and I AM HAVING ALL THE FEELINGS HOW SHALL I EVER RECOVER ;___;) my most dearest angelgazing wrote this utterly perfect ficlet, which wrenched my heart in all the best ways and I urge you to go read it and tell her how amazing she is and that she needs to write more! This Is the World We Wanted, run don't walk!

What else, what else... Oh yeah, remember the Epiphany doodles? They are all posted :D We had two TSN doodles, two Clint/Darcy and a bb!Thor, three Arthur/Merlin being silly and four Brendon/Spencer being adorable :) Ah, that was fun *twirls* I might do it again for the next festivity... what are your thoughts on Valentine powerdoodling?

• first up, two TSN fics: Dreaming the Shades of Dawn and Dusk by smiles1777 is a Sleeping Beauty inspired story and it wrenched my heart right out of my chest. I was quite the teary mess when I finished it but don't let the image of my blotchy red face stop you from reading it because it truly is beautiful. Brushstrokes by hitlikehammers is another piece of utter charm: Eduardo hasn’t always been a painter, but that doesn’t mean there wasn’t art inside his soul the whole time, nonetheless. It might just be that any story in which a character struggles with and talks about the creative process makes me feel a little less alone in the world and therefore makes me kinda biased, but believe me when I say that this story is lovely and you won't be disappointed.

• Nerds and male privilege, definitely worth a read :)

• The Hunger Games Ponies! I can die happy now :D

• Animation Concept Art Tumblr. What the tin says! This is quite the delightful little blog and it has a lovely background music (if I'm not mistaken, it's the Peter Pan soundtrack - the one with Jason Isaac, not the Disney cartoon)

Happy Epiphany Eve!

I'm not sure who celebrates it and who doesn't, so here's the short story: on the night between the 5th and the 6th, an old witch called Befana plays Santa for a night and leaves candies and small presents for the good children in their socks. If you haven't been good, the Befana fills your sock with coal (spoiler: it's made of sugar, you get lucky either way) and it's traditional to leave a glass of wine near the sock to help the witch fight the cold outside, since she travels by broom.

Anyway, the point is that I'm sad for to say goodbye to the holidays and also when I see an excuse for power doodling I grab it with both hands, so here's the deal:

Also, Pottermore! I just realized I never said, I was sorted into Slytherin! *fangs up* it was quite the surprise because I was really sure I'd end up in Hufflepuff. My sister cackled for a good half hour when I told her and my dad just plain laughed in my face, pointed finger and all, and my mum made a D: face, scrunched her nose and said "isn't that the bad House?". I felt so very loved right then -__- btw, my name there is DreamFeather124 :)

- Last week I stumbled upon this artist, Stefano Faravelli and promptly fell in love with his work. Apart from browsing his site, you should all watch this video in which he shows his cluttered studio (where I want to go live for the rest of forever OMG. I believe sunsetmog would want to come look at the delightful clutter, too!) and some of his travelling journals (which are the most gorgeous things ever). The video is in Italian, but believe me you really want to fill your eyes with his lovely work.

Two post in three days and I feel like I'm spamming you all with my nonsense, but bear with me, please, I have awesome recs for you!

The second wave of bandombigbang is in full swinging and yesterday the story I drew fanart for went up! Don't Drink the Water by cloudlessclimes is an amazing story about Spencer the grumpy fish scientist (yes! Now you know what all my fish-related drawing woes were about!) and his wading the waters of life as a researcher towards happiness. This story's so lovely and I reccomend everyone to click on the link and go check it out.

Remeber that icon meme I did a few days ago? Well, sarahyyy wanted to play and I asked her to tell me about her Tangled icon and she said something about wanting to write tangled fic but never getting around to do it and so I said "WRITE IT NOW!" and what d'you know, she did! In Love for a While, run don't walk!

In case you were not aware, thesocialbbang has been showering my friend page in sparkly joy for a couple of days. I've been bookmarking everything because free time hasn't been on the menu this past week, but I managed to read one the other day: Draw Me A Map by fairy_tale_echo. I keep going back to it so I thought I'd rec it here (and then we can spazz all together about the sheer brilliance that is correspondence!fic, Y/Y/MFY?)


In Real Life news, my old medications weren't working anymore so I had to change them with something stronger :/ I'm not particularly fond of this new one, but it seems to be doing its job so far... If I suddenly start spewing stupid(er) crap around here, I'm blaming it. Also, to cheer myself up, I bought a mammoth book of fairytales. The best thing about it is that among the usual ones, it also features classic fairytales written by women :) I don't know when I'll have the time to read them all, but it's something nice to look forward to, no?

A phone conversation I had this morning with my mum:

Me: Hello?
Mum: Baby! Guess where we are! Cesena :D
Me: Oh, hey mum :)
Mum: No no, listen! Dad and I went to see the market and then we went to get a cappuccino!
Me: *is suspicious of the emphasis* Uh, that's good. Did you like the-
Mum: no no, you don't understand! We went to get cappuccinos! And then we didn't drink them! Ah ah ah :D
Me: .... what?
Mum: We walked up to the counter, ordered two cappuccinos, took forever to pick pastries and then we told them we wanted them at the table outside and then we left!
Me: You mean you did an eat-and-run? MUM!
Mum: No! We just didn't stick around long enough for the guy to bring the stuff at the table!
Me: *laughing* wow, you are getting old if you just forget about the order you just placed!
Mum: yeah, whatever! *chortles* hear this! We have just decided that we are going to go back there later this afternoon and sit at the table and then scold the waiters because "we've been waiting for these fucking cappucinos all day!" :D

So... My parents left this morning for Rimini and they'll be gone a week. In other news, I spent this morning doodling all the silly things. Like a Sid/Andy Regency!AU for sometimesalways (do I have to warn for really horrible art? Idk, but I AM WARNING YOU ANYWAY!). I also doodled a mystery!kid and after consulting my twitter people, we decided that he was Nathan, Brendon and Spencer's future adopted kid from eledhwenlin's (Airship) Pirates! :)

The thing is, I should be doing a lot of things like replying to emails (omg I am the worst at replying in a timely fashion /o\ if I owe you an email or two don't give up on me! You will get a reply before the week is out!) and answering comments and commenting on your posts and generally be more of a decent human being... but I am way too distracted to do any of those thing at the moment because OMG I'M SEEING PANIC! TOMORROW NIGHT :DDDD I'm dragging my sister on a mini road trip to Cesena and we are going to shake our bums and wave our arms at that band of ridiculous failboats :D So, um, yes. If you don't hear from me again it's because I will have died of joy.

Anyway! I feel guilty about being a flake re:thingsIShouldBeDoing so here, have a couple of artsy things.

Artsy thing the first: silly little Arthur/Eames Cavemen!AU doodle I drew for hermette, who is made of magic and sparkle ponies and wrote the most perfect Cavemen!AU ficlet ever ♥

Artsy thing the second: I am still completely obsessed with Pangaea and since I can't go to see Panic! and be distracted by thoughts of baby dinosaurs (because the combination of the two will make me explode from sheer awesomeness) I tried to work it off with a doodle :)
