Can we have a Steampunk Appreciation Day?

YOU GUUUUUUUYS!

"THE BALLAD OF MONA LISA" IS HERE!

Kerrang!, you are so much better than MTV. Sooooo much better! ILU KERRANG!! Even if you already took the video down /o\ That one is a cam recorder, but it's better than anything, no? (no really, what is this "not available in your region" crap? >:|) I also love Bden faces in this video! He makes the most ridiculous faces ever! :DDD Let's have a party in their honour \o/ And also in honour of [livejournal.com profile] seratonation and [livejournal.com profile] of_silverandsky who hooked me up <333

Anyway, today Panic! is playing in London and due to stupid rl I couldn't be there ç___ç Lucky me, I have a [livejournal.com profile] raffie79 who took a plane this morning and is going to be at the show and also at the M&G (so if any of you see an Italian girl at the show? That's Raffie! Hug her for me :D) and is going to take many pretty pictures \o/ To celebrate, let's have a silly doodle!

I made this for [livejournal.com profile] raffie79 because when she found out about the M&G, she asked all the Italian fans if they wanted to put together a booklet for her to give to the guys, to let them know that hey! There's a boot-shaped country that would really like to have them over for a show once in a while! Btw, I scanned the lineart before colouring it, so if you want to go on a colour-in spree, you can do it :) (and if you do, slap it in a comment and let me see! It is carnival week here! I want to see all the colours of the rainbow!)

ETA: (because I forget everythingomg) There is an Inception Anon Love Meme going on! Hop over and show some anon-love to all the people who make your heart grow three sizes in this fandom! ♥

Ion that surprise no one:
- I went to the flea market on Sunday and bought two tiny figurines; one is a toucan and the other should be a skunk (♥) but it has fox-ears and a terrier-face so maybe it is a mutant skunk, idk.
- Danny and Steve are so married I can't even *___*
- I want this steampunk pen sfm.
- Sloths are awesome and everyone should love them.
- I am working on 4 drawings at the same time. Talk about ADD.
- I am using masking fluid. What you should use it for: to mask the parts of the drawing you don't want your watercolours/inks/ecolines to cover. What you should do with it: paint it on the back of your hands and wait for it to dry so you can peel it off as if it was skin. Since masking fluid can be pretty expensive, I suggest you use white glue :D Have fun lovelies!

I've never really been into Brendon and Spencer as a pairing. Mainly because I get the most stuck in OTP mode, and it's usually whatever I read first in any fandom. (Seriously. I latch onto things like a leechy leech.), but I've tried it a couple times. It's just not the same... sigh. (I am so nostalgic right now. Probably because I was having a fo quoting war with my friends via text, and I popped in a mix I had, that also had most my favorite panic! songs. it was possibly not the best decision)

Ha, it's my dad's obnoxiously large tv. The good news about most my shows eing on at 10pm is that I get to watch them by myself on a real tv. I enjoy it. Though, my laptop has a pretty big screen too, for a computer.

Eh, Brendon/Spencer is my OTP, but I do read all other combos (except for Ryan/Spencer: that one creeps me out, idk). Now that you mention it, I do tend to be mono-ship in all my fandoms... except for bandom, apparently. It must be because I think of it as a lego boxset: you get to stick characters together in whatever combination you prefer because it will always be an amazing combination!

My laptop is pretty large, too... but a wide screen tv, ohh, it is just glorious *sighs*

Ahaha, I fully agree with you on Ryan/Spencer. I mean, I *can* read Brendon/Spencer, it just isn't my favorite. Ha, I had to read Brendon/Spencer since my best friend wrote like 42k of it once.
I just get too attached to things to do anything but mono-ship? Like, before I get really into a fandom, I have no problem with it, but once I'm in and settled, there is veryy little change to my established reading patterns.

The sad thing about the widescreen tv is that I can't take screen caps on it. which is distressing.

Idk, it's just a weird pairing for me *shrugs*

I have this really weird habit where I have an OTP, but I'm mono-ship with only one of the people involved. It's like... I select the best possible person for that character and every other option just lose any interest for me. It is really upsetting, in a way, because I miss a lot of gorgeous stories because the pairing is not my OTP :(

That is sad, it is true... but the live experience is quite amazing, no?

I just saw Ryan and Spencer as way too much like family or how me and my friends interact to really ship them.
Yeah, I get that. (ugh, missing out on good stories sucks. It's like, I want to get into them? but I can't get past my little brain blockages. :\ stupid brain is stupid.)

I always miss stuff when I watch it live because I can't pause it to flail. And then I squeak at things and have to slap my hands over my mouth so I don't wake up my family. But it's still awesome, so whatever :D

[identity profile] aredblush.livejournal.com 2011-02-08 09:21 pm (UTC)(link)
Exactly! That's what makes it weird for me.

Ahah, I am "lucky" because all your programs? I have to see them online (because otherwise I'd have to wait months and months) and so I just pull them up at reasonable hours or as a background when I'm working :D

Also, that icon is adorable!

my friend bought me a paid account for my birthday, which I took as a sign that she was trying to encourage me to actually have more than 8 icons. :D so now I have a bunch of new shiny ones!

Yeah, that's pretty much why I don't keep up with Merlin at all. Because I am terribly impatient. And not used to the fact that this new computer can stream video pretty okay.

[identity profile] aredblush.livejournal.com 2011-02-08 09:53 pm (UTC)(link)
*snorts* that's why I keep getting a paid account: MOAR ICONS \O/

I abandoned Merlin early season 2 :( The only drawback about watching programs before they arrive here is that when they finally do, I have already moved on to new things and everyone thinks I'm a loner because I don't want to watch "the shiny new show" with them :\
ext_88181: (i'm lazy)

[identity profile] chaoticallyclev.livejournal.com 2011-02-08 10:26 pm (UTC)(link)
Yeah, I might keep this paid account thing too, since I doubt I could decide which icons to let go...

Me too! Which was actually more because merlin kept switching tv channels and it just became too much effort to track down. and I am the most lazy about things that aren't my primary fandom. which then was bandom. so. Ha, i feel like I'm usually late to the party of "the shiny new show" because I hardly ever watch tv anymore. And I almost never look into anything a person recommends to me. Because I am stupidly stubborn. Someone reccomending a book or tv show to me pretty much guarantees that I a) won't watch it or b) won't like it. Unless they aren't really directing it towards me and it's more of a general, look how awesome this is! scenario. then we're cool.
