5 Things for Paitac!

paitac's prompt was:
five things Arthur hides before Merlin shows up to clean in the mornings

Here is what I came up with. Hope you like it :)












I had LOADS of fun doing these. I had to take photos of the drawings because the scanner was unavailable (infuriating!scanner is infuriating)... I've never loved PS so much.
I had to do a bit of research for the first two pieces because I had no idea what a brooch looked like in 6th century Britain: the ring-y type seemed to be the most common. As for the horse figurine, toys were made out of wood (and they could be nailed to a wheeled tablet to carry them around) or clay. I went the wood way because Arthur's a prince and wood was more valuable. I also broke one of its ears, because I wanted it to look like it was well used, but I don't know if it's clear of not...
Anyway... Hope you enjoy them!

I had to do a bit of research... I didn't want to rely only on the show for obvious tomatoes reasons.
Actually, I think the most difficult to draw was the vial: if Arthur SOMEONE had to hide it, say, behind the pillow, the vial could tip to the side and open and the oil would spill out. How can you get a stopper to stick? So I did all these sketches with various knots and strings to find a fastener that was easy to use. Shame that all the details got lost in pix-hell.

Thank you! It's been ages since I last used pencils... I wasn't sure they'd come out alright.
I'm working on yours right now... But Spencer's left foot is not cooperating! I'm stuck at thing-the-third... Hopefully I'll have a stroke of genius and I'll be able to post them tomorrow...

I didn't mean to make it so difficult! Sorry! :( Um...Brendon/someone else's right foot? Ryan's Hobo? The pee of an un-house trained pet? Nail polish? A sock, slipper, sandal, etc of special significance? A balloon/sticker/something weird someone put on his toes while he was sleeping? Grass/sand/rug hairs from when he went barefoot?

Those are nice suggestions... the balloon one made me laugh so hard! I did that to one of my friends back in high school!

Those are all awesome in concept and skills. You've said it had been a while since you used pencils but they still look great. =D
