twirling till I get dizzy

Soooo... BOB THE IPOD WORKS AGAIN!!!
This is the kind of news I needed today since this morning I woked up to a text from my best friend telling me that her grandma had passed away in the night. Rushed out of bed and run to the house were they're keeping the vigil till Saturday and then getting a call from my dad who told me that my grandma has been admitted to the hospital and put in an aseptic room (she's been fighting cancer for the last two years and the chemo didn't do anything other than depleting her immune system). It hasn't been the best of mornings.

Anyway, let's focus on happier things.

Bob is back... which means that the time has come to fill it again with shiny new music :D Only problem, I lost lots of music when William was rebuilt.... this is where you, dear flist, come to my aid :D

Here's the deal.
How about you upload or rec me 5 (not bandom) songs you love and, in exchange for your gracious offering, I give you art? You can ask for something specific or give me prompts or tell me "listen to songs I gave you and get inspired by them" or whatever. As long as you give/rec me music, you can ask for pretty much anything :D

Yesterday [livejournal.com profile] milenaa wanted people to tell her about their cooking habits and I suggested her to do a proper meme, so here it is

The Recipe Meme

1. Give me an ingredient and I'll give you
a) my favourite recipe that uses that ingredient
b) an ingredient of my choosing.
2. Post your favourite recipe with the ingredient I gave you in your blog.
3. Copy/paste these instructions and spread the cooking love.

She gave me white wine. Now, I know [livejournal.com profile] milenaa prefers recipe based mostly on veggie stuff, but this is a ~family recipe~ that I adore, so she shall have to bear with me and give it a try :D

Turkey breast with flour sauce

- Oil
- a spary of Rosemary
- Curry powder
- Turkey breast
- white wine
- Flour

1. Heat the oil in a pan and brown the rosemary and a sprinkle of curry powder.

2. Put the turkey breast in the pan. Once you flip them, pour a dash of white wine into the pan

3. Dust the flour over the turkey and mix it with the wine with with a wooden spoon until you get a creamy sauce.

4. Enjoy :)

As you can see, these dish is both easy and simple to make. I love it a lot, but you have to be careful with the wine: too much will make the meat hard to digest!

And now, some Art News in random order:
~ I'm almost positive I'll post art next week (the responses to the prompts Saba and Milly gave 2 weeks ago? I promise they are on their way! I'm just trying to make them less shmoopy... trying being the operative word, here. My sister looked at them and told me to give free reign to my inner sap, but I refuse to believe I'm actually filled with marshmallow)

~ I'm in a crafty mood lately. I've been eyeing [livejournal.com profile] craftgrrl for the past 2 weeks and there are at least 3 projects I'd like to do... If I could, I'd put up a laboratory and give my antsy hands cart blanche.

~ I've contacted the Academy of Fine Arts to ask about admission to their courses and whatnot. Turns out that if you have graduated from Art School (as is the case with me) you just have to do an informal interview, no entrance examination needed. I feel like I'm on the brink of something that could turn my life upsidedown. I have a good feeling about it :)

~ I'm in love with RainInYourHeart's gallery over at DA. She is amazingly skilled. Her drawing style is beautiful and poignant and you should really go see for yourself. She is also very good at photography.

I'm so happy that it wasn't really dead! Music is my constant companion!
