William is grumpy and so am I
My laptop is named William (I named him way before Bandom Age).
William has been a fantastic friend for more than 3 years. He had his problems (like that time we had to change the hard disk), but he always behaved well. Untill last week.
It seems that something happened somewhere in Will's electronic insides and, as of last Saturday, Java apps don't work anymore. That means no more pics upload on fb. Today, Firefox went ballistic and decided that cookies were evil and it wouldn't take them anymore, thanks. That means no more Twitter for me and that fb is alltogether unavailable.
It's not a tragedy, but since I hate seeing William going down one piece at a time, I've decided to do a complete reinstalling before it's to late. Only problem is, moving 50 Gb of files on an external drive is pretty much impossible atm.
It's time for me to do the dreaded Spring Cleaning of Doom.
(I almost burst into tears when I thought of losing all my music files, but then I had a stroke of genius and realized I could store things on mediafire \o/ My music is safe!)
I'm sad that I'll lose some things, but on some level it feels like starting anew :)
Anyway, all this rambling to tell you that I don't know how much it will take me to put William back together (my techFu is pretty strong, but you never know) so if you don't hear from me for a couple of days, it's because I'll be busy nursing my Will. I should be able to check emails, so if something important (like, I don't know... BrendonandSpencergettingmarried or canonRyWalkreachingepiclevel or picturesofCashrunningnakedinaparkinglotwithacapebillowingbehindhimgetposted) happens, youcanmust tell me!
Tomorrow will be Spring Cleaning of Doom Day, and since Saturday will be National Holiday I'll be out all day for a picnic with a bunch of friends. Maybe I'll see you Sunday? Maybe.

I've reinstalled the OS this morning, and everything seems to be working now. I've yet to update the java apps, but I'm scared to do it because they were the ones that caused all the problems before, so I'm stalling :/
