A phone conversation I had this morning with my mum:
(note that everything my mum said was delivered at an earsplitting volume because she has yet to grasp the notion that cell phones are not valleys)
*phone rings*
Me: Hello?
Mum: Baby! Guess where we are! Cesena :D
Me: Oh, hey mum :)
Mum: No no, listen! Dad and I went to see the market and then we went to get a cappuccino!
Me: *is suspicious of the emphasis* Uh, that's good. Did you like the-
Mum: no no, you don't understand! We went to get cappuccinos! And then we didn't drink them! Ah ah ah :D
Me: .... what?
Mum: We walked up to the counter, ordered two cappuccinos, took forever to pick pastries and then we told them we wanted them at the table outside and then we left!
Me: You mean you did an eat-and-run? MUM!
Mum: No! We just didn't stick around long enough for the guy to bring the stuff at the table!
Me: *laughing* wow, you are getting old if you just forget about the order you just placed!
Mum: yeah, whatever! *chortles* hear this! We have just decided that we are going to go back there later this afternoon and sit at the table and then scold the waiters because "we've been waiting for these fucking cappucinos all day!" :D

Rachel bychaoticallyclev. She made this one, alsong with a bunch of other icons, for my b-day. I'm not really into H5-0 anymore, but I think this icon is pretty cool and that happy expression is very effective :)
Jesse under an umbrella :D I needed a Jesse icon and I picked this one because I really liked the colours and umbrellas are always a plus in my book. I think there was one with a red umbrella in the same batch, but this one matched better with my other icons.
A grumpy looking hedgehog! I made this one last year when I was working on the illustrations for A Presumption of Functionality. The wiry thing is actually an egg cup, but I thought it could pass as a spring too. So really, this icon is about William getting stucked in a spring on Brendon's workbench :)
Amanda! This was the first (and only) fandom-related icon I've ever selected as a default userpic. I am not a big Amanda-fan, but I really like her style and her voice is pretty awesome :)
Ohh, this is my third most favourite icon :D It's cropped from this picture of Mika. I wanted to have an icon i could use for all my art posts and it took me a long while to find a picture that represented a bit of the mess you can do while creating something with colours :)

I choose icons purely for the pretty and occasionally because they have a specific sort of air about them (this for example is my fond/supportive icon) so I don't have much to say about them. Also, I'm full of flu, so licking me might not be great for your health :D
