Things that made this day a Day of Utter Delight:

- Getting blood tests while the nurses where doing a sing-along.

- Seeing an old nun say to an old man to fuck off, smiling all the while.

- Drinking coffee with my mum while the 40-something barista led the clients in dance off to the sound of Release Me.

- Being complimented by a RL fellow artist on this :D

- Attending the most amazing lecture in the history of everrrr omg you guys it was about the dysneyfication of fairytales! I thought I had died and gone to the special Dineynerd Heaven *is still flailing like deranged windmill*

- Inception Kink Fest! Go and write about ~~boys smearing paint all over each other while making sweet sweet love~~ whatever kink float you boat!

about the dysneyfication of fairytales JFC, that sounds actualfax AMAZING.

Spontaneous sing-a-longs are always great.

Hmmm, things. California decided it's now going to be summer, so today was beautiful, warm and had bright blue skies. I was like :DDD IT'S THE SUUUUUUN! I'VE MISSED YOU.

And tonight I'm going to a My Chemical Romance concert! For the first time! \o/

IT WAS OMG! IT WAS! I am still starry eyed over it! *________*

Right? It was a bit surreal because they were all singing and swishing needles at the same time, but it was fun :)

Yay for Summer \o/ We've been having very nice weather lately, but it is still chilly in the mornings.

Oh god it was so freaking amazing! He spoke about challenges and strategies in translating Children Lit and a lot of stuff about intersemiotic adaptation and about the Disney Studios method and and and. I really liked the section in which he explained how it is possible to tranfer a metaphore from words to images and showed us the opening scene/first sentence of The Little Mermaid as an example. I learned some things I ignored about Disney's stance on translation of its works and also a fair bit about keeping realia in check :)
My favourite fairytale is Donkeyskin! What's yours?

Oh yes, yes, Donkeyskin!! Love that story. Ahhhh picking a favorite is always so difficult. I really like the tale of the brothers who get turned into swans and their sister has to sew them shirts to free them. The one I used to tell most often is the Salt Princess; my sister loves that story.

hmm, all the things..hmm. Well, I am in a mood. An as of yet undefined mood, but i have a feeling it resides somewhere in the realm of annoyance. There is no reason for this mood that I can think of.
I spent that past THREE HOURS getting my hair done (and, trust me, unless fic is involved? I cannot sit still for three hours. At all). I do not currently have positive feelings about my hair since it took three hours of my life, but eh. That's pretty much been my whole day so far. Then I come home and there is adorable and awesome things on the computer like this!

I'm sorry about your undefined mood :( But, but. You should enjoy your new haircut! How does your hair look like now? I got a haircut last week (my nape is showing again \o/), but my mum is pretty quick with the scissors so it didn't take us long. Also, you are the most adorable <333

Ahaha, my hair. Well, first I should explain my hair. The individual pieces of hair themselves are thin. Of course, I have a ridiculous amount if it. So I say my hair is thick, because the collection of hair is in fact ridiculously thick. It is thicker around than my wrist. (which, okay, I have some tiny wrists, but still. hair is not usually that thick). Also, it grows so ridiculously quickly. It was hitting at about waist level and I chopped it up to my shoulders. My head now feels about 10 pounds lighter, and that I greatly appreciate. I don't think the hair cut is doing anything for me, though. Probably because the person put product in my hair and my hair does not appreciate it. It only appreciates shampoo. It does not appreciate conditioner or anything else. Also, it is now supposed to be red, but i can't tell how the color turned out because the amount of product in my hair is ensuring that it will NEVER DRY and will always look freshly washed.

...ahaha, yeah. I do not like getting hair cuts. ever. ever ever. never ends well for my hair or my mood.

Ahahah Danny is the angry one with blond hair and shoulders like a wardrobe! He's tiny and very fierce and loyal and he's a Dad with a capital 'D' :D
