I got so lucky, guys! There is nothing I love more than domestic fic and when I read wattle_neurotic's summary I couldn't write my claiming comment fast enough! I enjoyed drawing fanart for this story so much and I advise you all to go and read "Anchored" now! It is a true delight!

Eames paused to buy the paper, keeping a watch on her out of the corner of his eye before following at a languid pace.

She stopped at two food places, picking up a series of sandwiches and sushi, stopping to chat briefly to obviously familiar faces. Eames traced her movements, memorised her laugh and the way she held herself, the curl of her hair and the way her clothes fell - tight in all the right places. Her shoes matched her lipstick (of course) and a pair of glasses were perched on her nose.




When he was satisfied with the amount of water, he plonked the kettle back onto the stove and moved the tea pot back to the bench, popping its top on and then leaning against the counter.

“And?” Arthur asked, waving a hand as if to emphasise his question.

“And now we wait, for three to five minutes.” Eames smiled, “I told you it was an art, nothing to be sneezed at.”

I had to look at the art before reading the fic and I totally fell in love with the first sketch: Just look at that, it's Eames being competent, which is like one of my favorite kinks ever, and he's doing the thing he does so casually and so coldly. I love him like that, and the details are amazing. LOVELOVELOVE the gloves.

Hee, that was one of my favourite parts! I haven't seen that aspect of Eames's job described often in fics, so I was really excited (and oh so nervous!) about drawing something to go with that scene :)

A good espresso is a thing of beauty. Literally, the darkness of the liquid and the small cup, I love it. Tea sets, too. The drink is more important than the aesthetics, of course, but man, they make it special.
