I think I am. :) Today's been ok, and tomorrow is a shorter school day so I can come home and sleep it off if it starts up again tomorrow. Being sick is actually pretty funny, because I'm even clumsier and my thought processes even slower. This week I hit my forehead on the wall my bed is positioned against when I sleepily turned to face the wall, and walked into a closet door when I stood up quickly and my vision went all blurry. :D The crankiness is infuriating. I happened to also be on my period, which made me feel extra-gross and hormonal. Not fun.
I've done a little bit of pencil sketching to get basic ideas down to paper, but nothing real yet. Damned school work keeping me away from my sketchbooks (I should be writing an essay as we speak). I have one problem with the arts which is that I want to do more that I offered (and I might, but shhh that's a secret.) /o\
It looks good! And I was happy to learn that there was still art by you that I hadn't known of. For example I didn't even know you had done HP art (Gosh lady, that bigbangitalia one is simply gorgeous. I actually went "oh!" when I saw it.) I think I'll compile one for myself when I have more art posted, maybe after BBB. Or then get an art journal.
I hope you won't regret saying that later. *g* Hee, well a few days ago I was thinking about the art series Milly did, the Nearly Witches one? and then I found this picture in someone's tumblr and it was all downhill from there.
So, I don't have much and even what I have might change, but I think that Brendon is the prince of the charmed forest, a son of mother earth and he lives in the wish tree valley near the ocean. He has an important job in making sure that all the wishes, hopes and dreams that gather on the stream that falls from the mountainside through the forest get sorted out, packed into star lanterns and hung to the trees that will keep them safe. Brendon doesn't have to do the actual physical work himself, because there are others chosen for the task, but he likes it. He likes sitting by the water and catching the faintly shining bits that float past him, likes organizing them, and he really likes it when he gets to cradle the fragile stars in his hands and find a place for each one on the branches the arch above his head and all around him.
High and sturdy trees surround the valley from each side, and even thought they're not even meant to work as a fence, they keep the valley pretty secluded. Of course, the forest itself protects the valley and keeps it hidden from those who want harm and harbour dark thoughts. Most of the creatures living in the forest keep away from the area instinctively and make their way past it like they're not even fully aware of its existence. This explains why Brendon startles so badly when he catches sight of a large wolf standing in the shadows between the thick trees just a few meters away from him on a specific full-moon lit night.
Huh. I should really shorten those sentences. I hope there isn't too many typos. Nothing was read twice and I blame everything on the time of the day! How is it past 2 AM already?
I'll keep that in mind next time I worry about talking to much <3
(also re: comp crashes, wow that's scary! I should back-up everything, but I keep forgetting. My laptop freezes every other day, and I've never actually thought about losing my stuff. The worst scare was when the bookmarks disappeared. I'll have to copy everything into the external hard-drive tomorrow.)
