I used to read some manga, mostly stuff my friends recced, but I have to admit it's always been something I've appreciated without ever really getting into. Most of my friends still read a lot of manga though, and I get to enjoy the excitement from the sidelines :) So no, I haven't been in the fandom myself (bandom's my first), but Z's slowly becoming fannish and sometimes reads and links fics and fanart to me. Ooh, sounds interesting! It's cool when artists mix things from other styles into their own.
