He's pretty tempted to just rush through the next 38 minutes, but he wants to make this a surprise, so he keeps his steady path around the clock, concentrating on the faint clicking of the gears hidden behind the numbered face.
10 minutes pass by and other 5 and then 20 and he can see Spencer clearly, now. Just other 2 minutes and Spencer is already smiling. A handful of seconds that feels like hours, too many and not enough.
"Hey, Spence." 7 seconds "You know what I really miss?"

"No, Bren" 5 seconds, Spencer looks at him fondly, 4 seconds, "What?"
