Baby Art
Dad asked me to go with him to a children art show and since I had nothing to do I said "ok, let's go see what this babies came up with". I thought it was going to be something like an elementary parents-teachers thing, where teachers put up children drawings and parents weep because their baby drew their family all smiley and happy, nevermind that they all have 13 fingers and orange skin.
Well, it wasn't.
Those children are actually pretty good! They were all 9 and 10 years old and they were good!

This one is a 7-year-old kid! I attended an artistic high school and half of the thing we did weren't this beautiful! WTF?!

This figurine reminded me of the Horned King from The Black Cauldron

At the entrance there was this drawing of Fethry Duck, and I thought that this Zeno kid had done a nice job

But then I went on and saw something else by him that blew me completely away

There were all this children running around and I pretty much yelled "Who's Zeno?" and this kid with glasses comes up and says "It's me" and I bent down to his level and told him "Listen kid, you're a genius! You better keep up with your art because otherwise I'll hunt you down". I'm not particularly intimidating, so I don't think he was very cowed, but I really hope he'll listen to me.
So, moral of the story is: go to children art shows because they can be surprising! (and the food is better than the one at serious art galleries.)
